2019 Quarterback of the Year: Lamar Jackson
I was high on Lamar going into the draft. I wrote a post titled “LOCKED IN QB1?” about him and Josh Allen back on August 9th if any of you feel like checking it out. His ADP back in August settled around the QB14....I had him as the QB7 in my final QB rankings prior to the season starting. But I definitely didn’t expect this. He outscored the QB2 (Deshaun Watson) by just under 100 points. He shattered Michael Vick’s 2006 rushing record in one less game. He led the league in touchdown passes (36) while only throwing 6 interceptions. Only twice all season did he score less than 20 fantasy points, and in one of those games he scored 19.8. Only once did he not finish as a QB1. That’s as elite as you can get. He will win the NFL MVP and he will be the first QB drafted next year. He will still likely be an avoid for me in drafts next year, but man did he pay off this year.
