Mayfield shocked the fantasy world in 2024 with a QB4 finish, piling up 4,500 yards and 41 touchdowns—both career highs. Peyton Manning and Drew Brees only hit 41 TDs twice in their long HOF careers. Future HOFer Aaron Rodgers... has only thrown for 4,500 yards once. Toss in 378 rushing yards—more than double any of Baker's previous seasons—and you’ve got red flashing lights alerting a 2025 regression.

Yes, the supporting cast is still strong—Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Jalen McMillan, and Emeka Egbuka to go along with a strong run game—but Evans is now two years past the wrong side of 30, and Godwin is approaching that milestone himself while returning from a major injury.

New OC Josh Grizzard should keep elements of Liam Coen’s quick-strike system, but expecting a repeat is a stretch. Mayfield is still draftable, but he’s no Top-10 lock, and there are late-round QBs with similar upside at a cheaper cost. You can feel comfortable drafting him for safety, but lower expectations on another Top-5 year.
