Good to Know Stats: Their Last 7 Games
Hey eveyone, every team has played 14 games and I thought it would be interesting to look at some stats I was a little surprised by just using these players second half games. Sometimes I think the first half of the season sears players in our minds as being better or worse than they turn out by season’s end. For those of you who play dynasty or are just getting started, this is a good thing to review. The total box score going into 2020 might say one thing, but the 2nd half stats might paint a more clear picture of things to come.
Joe Mixon and Miles Sanders were both pretty bad to start the season, but they have been great during the 2nd half. Outscoring the likes of Leonard Fournette, Austin Ekeler, Saquon Barkley, Chris Carson, Melvin Gordon, Nick Chubb, Todd Gurley and Alvin Kamara.
Since Drew Brees returned from his thumb injury, he is 2nd to only Lamar Jackson in total QB fantasy points. Russell Wilson on the other hand is only the QB12 during that span and has been very replaceable. .
D.J. Moore has proven to be QB proof. It’s amazing what he has been able to do with such bad QB play. This guy is a stud. Amari Cooper on the other hand has not been. He was lights out for the first 5 games of the season, but has been nothing more than a WR3 since.
I’m not sure that there was another player who took more shade during the offseason than Zach Ertz. Regression mixed with the additions of DeSean Jackson and Miles Sanders and increased snaps of Dallas Goedart had the entire industry fading the Philly TE. Yet, here he is on the cusp of doing what no other TE has done before....back to back 100 reception seasons. On the flip side, Hunter Henry started out very strong from his injury, but has cooled down a lot over the past month.
